Apple and blueberry crunchy biscuits

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of peeled sliced pitted apples
  • 1 cup of fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 cup of oat flakes
  • 1 teaspoonful of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoonful of cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoonful of salt
  • 1/2 cup of butter (or margarine)

Preparation

  • Preheat oven at 350° F.
  • Combine the apples, blueberries and sugar and place in a large 8 cups (2 L) baking dish.
  • Combine flour, brown sugar, oats, baking powder, cinnamon and salt.
  • Add the butter and mix until you get coarse crumbs.
  • Spread this mixture over the apples and blueberries.
  • Bake for 30 minutes.
  • Serve warm with fresh or whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
