Ingredients

Sauce

  • 1 lb (454 g) of blueberries
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) of sugar
  • 1 cup (250 ml) of brown sugar
  • 1 cup (250 ml) of water
  • Vanilla, to taste

Dumpling

  • 1 cup (250 ml) of flour
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) of milk
  • 2 teaspoonfuls (10 ml) of baking powder
  • 2 tablespoonfuls (30 ml) of shortening
  • 1 pinch of salt

Preparation

  • Mix the broth ingredients together and heat in the oven. The broth is ready when the sugar and brown sugar are completely diluted.
  • Mix Ingredients for the dough together and throw this mixture by spoonful in hot broth.
  • Cover and simmer 12 to 15 minutes over low heat.
  • Tip: You can replace blueberries with raspberries or strawberries or even put the three.

* Blueberries can be frozen or fresh.
