Ingredients

  • 1 cup (250 ml) old-fashioned oat
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) of flour
  • 1/2 cup 125 ml) of sugar, divided
  • 1 teaspoonful (5 ml) of cinnamon grounded
  • 1/4 cup (50 ml) of butter, in small pieces
  • 1/4 cup (50 ml) of pecans or walnuts, coarsely chopped
  • 2 1/2 cups (625 ml) frozen blueberries
4 cups (1 l) of apples or pears finely diced

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 375 ° F (190 ° C). Lightly grease a 2 quarts (1.9 L) baking dish.
  • For the filling: In a medium bowl, combine oats, half of the flour (50 ml), half of the sugar (50 ml) and cinnamon.
  • Add butter and sprinkle by rubbing your hands in flour until obtaining a crumbly texture*. Stir in the pecans.
  • In a large bowl, combine blueberries and apples with remaining sugar (50 ml) and flour (50 ml).
  • Pour the blueberries and apples in the prepared baking dish then sprinkle the topping over the fruits.
  • Cook until apples are tender and topping is golden, about 50 minutes.
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt, if desired.
